If you're a big anime collector like me, you may be inclined to pick this old classic up. The flaps have the risk factor of flapping around inside during travel and possibly damaging the discs or it's own flap holding pieces inside but it generally protects the discs as long as you handle the cases with care. When discs are lying on top of one another with nothing in between, that is the WORST. If you ask me the flaps are probably the 2nd or 3rd best method for packaging. Each DvD case has a flap or 2, (can't rememeber exactly) so if you don't like those plastic flaps you may not like the casing. It seems to be a holifoil box with 4 DVD cases inside. (as it is a 1985 anime) Now that the technical error is corrected, I thought I'd also point out that this series is beautifully boxed. I have not watched this series yet, but surely it's a piece of anime history as one of the older classics. This information may sway people in favor of buying the whole series and not something that is 20 episodes short of complete. This is not a complaint but more so to make everyone else aware that it's 85 and not 65 you w ill be getting. So people, if you're interested in the complete series.I can confirm that it truly is the complete series. I ordered this product myself and was surprised to see it was indeed the 85 episodes. I have this on my personal que on Netflix and it's actually 85 episodes long.
If you read the product description it says it includes all 65 episodes of the show. There are quite a bit of these ''Robotech: The Complere Series (DVD,2011,17-disc set)'' on the market.
